Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

This policy explains what information SpinWheelGe ("we", "us") collects when you use spinwheelge.com (the "Site"), how it's used, and the choices you have. The short version: the wheels and lists you create stay in your browser, and optional analytics and advertising cookies are only used according to your choices.

1. Information stored on your device

Wheel entries, settings, spin history, theme preference and your privacy choices are saved in your browser's local storage so they're there when you return. This data is not sent to our servers. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

2. Share links

When you click Share, your wheel (title, entries, hidden activities and design settings) is encoded into the link's URL fragment (the part after #). Browsers don't send the fragment to web servers, so we don't receive it. Anyone you give the link to can see its contents. Spin history and uploaded images are never included.

3. Information collected automatically

  • Hosting logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse.
  • Analytics (optional). With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are used. Events include counts such as the number of entries on a wheel, never the text of your entries.
  • Advertising (optional personalization). We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. If you decline personalized ads, Google may still show non-personalized ads, which use limited data for frequency capping and fraud prevention. Learn more at how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

4. YouTube Comment Picker

If you load comments from a video, the video link is sent to our server, which requests public comments from the YouTube Data API. We don't store the comments. Use of that feature is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.

5. Your choices

On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics and personalized advertising cookies. Until you choose, Google tags run in a consent-denied mode. You can change your choice at any time:

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of personalized advertising, which some US state laws consider a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other US states, Canada (PIPEDA and provincial laws), the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom — you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Because we don't run accounts and your wheels stay on your device, we usually hold no personal information about you beyond what's described in section 3. To make a request, email hello@spinwheelge.com. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

7. Children

The Site is a general-audience tool often used by teachers in classrooms. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Teachers who enter student names should know those names are stored only in the teacher's own browser.

8. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

We rely on consent for analytics and advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site for hosting logs. You can withdraw consent at any time using Privacy choices.

9. Security and retention

The Site is served only over HTTPS. Data in your browser stays until you clear it. Hosting logs are retained by our provider for a limited period for security purposes.

10. Changes and contact

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Questions? Email hello@spinwheelge.com or visit our contact page.
